Now Barbie is on the Internet too: in October Mattel the world’s largest toy producer, offered a series of products for children on their site www.barbie.com. They have sent - US newspapers report - the first catalogue of the world’s most famous doll to four million Americans.

Toy safety: start of a
ministerial campaign

A campaign for prevention and information about the safety features of toys is about to be launched by the Ministry of Industry sponsored by the European Commission. The communication campaign will be defined by a competition at European level which will lead to the production of a "Guide to buying toys" of which four million copies will be printed.
