|
| An
evening in front of the TV with the video on. Or maybe in
front of the TV with your games console on your lap ready
for an exciting match with your son or a friend. In this
column, "Videos and Video Games" well
periodically present a selection of home videos and video
games which we consider significant. It wont be a
classification but just a selection of |
recommended
titles. We cant think of winter without thinking of
children and Christmas - so we start the home video list
with two videos dedicated to the very young. We are going to
make a long journey through the world of video as reporters
not as critics, to inform you about what we have seen or
hired from the video store. |

Here
in Grumpyland
A video cassette to
hire, produced in 1999 in the United States, lasting
67
minutes, directed by Gary Halvorson this is delightful
cartoon of great charm for children. The characters
are a series of puppets created by Jim Henson. The
leader is the hairy Grouth Land who gives the video
its title "Grouth Land in Grumpyland".
Grouth Land is an easy-going character, clumsy and
loveable: he knows how to bring peace and friendship
to the difficult characters of Grumpyland, a land of
incorrigible grumblers, who are cured of their
grumbling by Grouth Land. |

"Green Card" in fact is the title of the

Georges obtains his green card by marrying the refined
Bronte: the two in appearance have a difficult
marriage and only too late discover that they are in
